This is my first time using a lotion applicator for my back and I was pleasantly surprised by it. The foam roller absorbs some product but it ends up applying lotion in an even layer across your shoulders and back, and I don't feel the need to rub the moisturizer in afterwards. Typically after using, I pop out the foam roller to wash it under water. Since I usually apply body lotion right after showering, my hands are a little wet when using the applicator, and ironically, I've noticed I have an easier time holding the plastic handle rather than the rubber section. Not sure yet if that has more to do with the the handle length and my arms or the slipperiness of the handle. The motion takes some getting used to, but otherwise I'm quite pleased.

I bought this Bearback rolling lotion applicator for my husband to use and he has found it very helpful in applying lotion to his back when I am not available to help him. It is easy to use and distributes the lotion across his back in the hard to reach areas like the middle and shoulder blade areas. It folds up neatly and stores nicely in our bathroom. I would recommend this product.

I like the concept of a roller. But with hand issues the rollers are very difficult to remove. The texturized rubber handle is uncomfortable. I think a smooth surface would help those with texture issues. It rolls effortlessly which is great. It is pretty light weight device. But for the older people that lose strength in the arms and hands for various reasons, perhaps a better design would be more beneficial. I love that rollers can be reused. But still overall it works for most people. So, I would encourage anyone to purchase this item that is at a affordable price. I hope what I shared might be considered in the next upgrade. I like it, and it seems to be making a difference. Time (and the cold weather, come fall) will tell whether it really is helping to moisturize the skin on my back. PS, I prefer to use it bent at the hinge, not fully extended. Something about that angle makes it easier for me to apply even pressure from both above and below while I roll it over my back. Less dripping (and possible slipping on the floor) when you use something thick like shea butter on the roller, rather than lotions or creams. Kinda fun to use!

Cold weather brings itchy skin, and for some reason my back gets it the worst!! The Bearback roller worked tremendously to hit all the areas which are impossible to reach with just your hand. The device is well made and sturdy, and includes excellent smooth rollers. I have only had the product for a short time, but so far I’m totally impressed and satisfied! I really like how this fold up for more compact storage. I haven't figured out yet how to remove the sponge from the handle. I needed to get something to apply cream to my back because of a skin condition and my husband really can't stand to apply lotion. After 50 years of trying to get him to overcome his reluctance, I found this. Since he is way beyond "keeping", I now have a happy husband and me and my back.

I love mine! My back was dry and itching from the hard water in Fort Worth TX. This allowed me to reach my entire back area. Also I had shoulder surgery & back surgery and it made it easy for me to put lotion on my back, legs, one arm due to shoulder surgery but just used the good arm to put lotion on the one I just had surgery on. I like that you can fold it and makes it take up less space as well. The replacement rolls are reasonable in price which is a bonus but the rolls can be rinsed off and reused too!! Love this thing!

Good for people getting back tattoos. Kind of a rare use case, but I bought this cause I am getting a large tattoo on my back.
For people unfamiliar, when a tattoo is healing, you need to wash and apply lotion multiple times a day. Of course, that is very hard without a partner.
I use one roller for washing in the shower, then the other to apply the lotion after.

I have chemo induced peripheral neuropathy. Rubbing lotion on is painful. I can use this without causing extra pain. It actually feels good. I am updating my review. I love the handle. I needed a ice roller but none had handle long enough. I bought an extra handle and taped the roller handle for the ice roller. I couldn't find a 3 1/2” ice roller. It works amazing. Strong and is perfect so I cand now do lotion or ice anywhere. Great for feet and my back.

Finally found something that helps me to get my full back moisturized without contorting my whole body!! When hubby is home he will put lotion on my back but if he's not here I had the hardest time getting back there. My skin is terribly dry especially in the Arizona summer heat and this is a wonderful product. I did learn that when putting lotion on the roll, you have to hold the roll and spread it on it with your fingers otherwise the lotion will get all over the place. Small price to pay for a great product. I found something so that I can hang it on my towel rack.

This is the greatest applicator for the back that I have found. Have repeatedly used the lotion applicators with the little ball bearings to apply products to relieve pain. Pain medications simply destroy those little plastic bearings and they are cumbersome. This applicator with the roller sponge allows me to apply pain medicatin to my back as I need relief. Currently have an outbreak of shingles and the only thing that seems to quell the pain and itching is CBD lotion. It is so easy to apply with this applicator. If easily rolls over the back and the handle is sturdy in the hand without slipping. The handle folds up nicely for storage in a vanity drawer. I did order additional sponges to be rotated with different pain medications and lotions. No more of the plastic Rollerball applicators for me. I am a senior citizen and applying product to the back is generally a pain but this applicator is the answer. Being a rather independent person, I no longer need to rely on the availability of someone to experience relief and can eliminate those prescriptions which are supposed to work and are useless. The independence is great.
