Your Bearback is designed to operate in two positions: closed and extended. When closed, it's easy to store and can be used in situations where full extension isn't needed (such as using it on the front of your body). However, for ideal control when reaching your back, full extension is desired.

If your new Bearback feels like it's not opening or closing all the way, don't worry. Just grab it close to both sides of the hinge and apply a little extra pressure - it will pop into place!

These attachments are designed to be swapped in less than 5 seconds!  You can remove any existing attachment by sliding it gently but firmly to the left - it should release and slide smoothly off of the handle.  To install any attachment, simply repeat the process (sliding to the right this time).

Cheap "claw" style scratchers do not provide near the level of blissful satisfaction that you'll get with the Bearback Back & Body Scratcher.  Additionally, the cheap scratchers risk damaging your skin and tend to break after only a few uses.  The Bearback Back & Body Scratcher was designed to provide many years of "tough on itches-gentle on skin" delight.  

Yes!  Any back scratcher should be cleaned regularly to maintain proper hygiene and prevent the spread of germs. Back scratchers can accumulate dead skin cells, sweat, and dirt over time, creating a breeding ground for bacteria and other microorganisms.

To clean your back scratcher, you can use soap and water to wash it thoroughly, or you can use an antibacterial wipe or spray. Make sure to dry it completely before using it again. 

The Bearback Back & Body Scratcher has skin-friendly bristles made of flexible plastic which which are incredibly easy to keep clean.

While you can easily clean your foam roller while it is still attached, you will want to periodically remove your roller for replacement.  The roller is designed to be removed and exchanged easily.  Simply grab one side of the roller head with one hand and grab the foam roller with the other.  Pull both hands gently in opposite directions and the roller will release.

Run the foam roller head under hot water and squeeze it until the excess water is out.  Leave in open area to dry.

Yes - in fact, after getting a new tattoo it is recommended that you apply a layer of antibacterial ointment twice a day.  You should also wash the area gently twice a day - and apply a moisturizer or ointment.  This process should be repeated for 2-4 weeks. Many of our customers have found the Bearback Lotion Applicator to be the perfect tool for their tattoo aftercare needs!

This is heavily dependent on usage and cleaning - but a Bearback foam lotion roller should last for at least a month of regular use.  Replacement packs are available for purchase.

Abolutely!  Rather than using an aerosol based sunscreen which largely sprays everywhere but where you need it, you can use the Bearback Lotion Applicator to apply sunscreen directly to your back - or anywhere else - without getting sunscreen all over your hands!

When your existing blades begin to get dull, you'll notice that your shaving experience isn't as efficient and effective.  Fortunately, it is very easy to swap your blades out when the time comes.  Here are the steps to follow:

1) Being careful to avoid the razor blades themselves, grab your existing shave cartridge by the outside edges.
2) With a firm but gentle motion, slide the entire cartridge to the left.  It should slide off smoothly.
3) Safely dispose of the old cartridge.
4) Repeat the above process, this time sliding it to the right.

Here are the steps on how to clean your Bearback shaving cartridge:


1) If hair accumulates between the blades during use, you can gently tap the side of the handle on the sink and / or blow on both sides of the blades.  


2)To clean the blades after use, follow these steps:

1. Rinse the razor under running water.
2. If there is any hair or debris stuck to the blades, use a soft toothbrush or similar to gently remove it.
3. Soak the razor in a solution of warm water and mild soap for a few minutes.
4. Rinse the razor again and dry it with a clean towel.
   
   

Here are some additional tips for cleaning your razor:

• Avoid using harsh soaps or detergents, as these can damage the blades.
• Don't tap the razor against the sink, as this can dull the blades.
• Don't store your razor in a wet environment, as this can rust the blades.
• Replace your razor blades as soon as they begin to dull, as dull blades can cause irritation and ingrown hairs.

Unlike other Bearback products - which are designed to be used to be used with the handle extended or collapsed - the massage roller is meant to be used in the collapsed position.  In this shorter position, you are able to get the maximum amount of pressure behind the roller.
