I’ve used every back shaver you can find. This one works so much better and so much faster than any of the others. I think the best part is that it has an articulating head like a facial razor does and has three blades in it, as opposed to a fixed blade like Bakblade 1.0, 2,0, and 3,0. If you are extremely hairy, I could see this not working so well. If you are lightly hairy like me, this thing will shave you smooth as can be. I don’t think it’s going to work on longer hair very well either. I think you’d want to use this to finish after using an electric trimmer. But if you have short or sparse hair especially, I think this is exactly what you’re looking for.

Been using clippers with a short guard on my chest for years, but new to manscaping the back. The BearBack was well reviewed and fairly inexpensive as products go. Tried it dry the first time through, and it needed to be rinsed a lot as this was the first time ever. So I jumped in the shower and figured out the best technique, and wow is my back smooth! The handle is plenty rigid, and the rubber grip was key in the shower. The pivoting head helped keep it close over the less flat areas. I think hitting it every couple of weeks will be easier than that first time. Very happy with this product, even without soap or shave cream.

I don't have anything to compare this to, besides what I've had to do for years, which is either have my daughter trim my back, or end up with splotches of hair here and there on my back. So I am so thankful for this! It's affordable, and definitely shaves your hair with a clean close shave. No shaving cream needed! I do highly recommend it.

Well, as of now, I can't rate the item accurately because I never received it. I ordered on May 13, but as of May 28 still haven't received it. FAQs show that items usually ship within two business days but the UPS tracking number is showing that they are still waiting for the package to ship. So hopefully this gets figured out soon. Would like to have the product I paid for.

I’ve tried a handful of back razors over the years, and this one is by far the best. The folding handle is genius—it extends long enough to reach every part of my back, then folds up for easy storage. I no longer need to awkwardly ask my wife to help shave spots I can’t reach.
The dual blades are sharp and smooth—no tugging, no razor burn. The pivoting head really does follow your body’s shape, which makes a big difference around the shoulders and lower back. Gets the job done. I had a single straight blade that was hard to handle it was not flexible. This blade goes with the curve of your shoulder and back. Comfortable and gets to the hard to reach areas. I will now invest in replacement blades now that it has turned out to be what I need.

Works well, price is great and build quality is good! I have used it several times already and like it! I have sensitive skin so it worked better for me when I used shaving cream in water, dry it left razor burn. For those of you who say you have to go over it several times yall either cant shave or have too much hair. Some of the negative reviews are ridiculous. Cool if it didn’t work for you but it’s not a 1-star product. If you have a jungle back there this ain’t for that, get waxed or use an electric one.

Those complaining it's this or that, have sweaters on their backs that's gross. This shave is awesome, i had a electric one that sucked and ripped the hair out. This was highly impressive razor, at first look I didn't have high hopes. The first time I used it, I was like Damm extremely smooth never got razor burn unlike the electric ones. I definitely recommend this product, unless your back looks like a bear skin nothing but a electric razor will work for ya.

This is a well-made shaver that is nice and comfortable to hold and use. It folds in half for easy storage.
I tried this both wet and dry, and the experience and results were similar. The triple blades sit flat against the head, which pivots during use. The shaver is very comfortable and gives a smooth, close shave. I experienced no cuts or scratches, and I can’t say the same for more aggressive single-blade designs I’ve tried. The trade-off here is that this required several more passes than those single blade designs. Each pass took less hair and the shaver required more frequent rinses to cut efficiently. Aside from that, this comfortably reaches wherever you need to shave, and the handle design allows for a secure grip.
Overall, this is a very nice product that is extremely comfortable to use. The decision is whether you want a more aggressive shaver that’s more efficient but rougher, or something like this that is more gentle but takes longer.

My spouse has a hairy back. Over the years, he has tried every means of hair removal. This expandable arm device is something that we've never seen. When it's in retractable mode, you can get the upper back and shoulders and when you extend the arm you can get all the way to the lower back. Great product!

Before Bearback I tried another brand with a fixed head and standard razor blades. When I got Bearback, I did a test using one device on each side of my back.
The fixed head did okay on the first side but struggled right below the shoulder blade, despite trying different angles. Bearback’s pivoting head handled the trouble spot with one stroke and went on to make quick work of the other side, eagerly devouring back hair like slash and burn logging clearing the rainforest for Big Ag’s beef pastures! Plus, it folds in half for a shorter grip, easy storage and the cartridges are easy. Seems safer than handling razor blades and don’t have to worry about kids losing a finger.
PRO TIP: Regardless of the shaver used, start low and work upward, shaving horizontal paths (spine to love handle, move up, repeat). If you work downward, you have to shave the attached hair AND the cut hairs that sprinkled down onto your work area. If you’re reading a body shaver review, you’re hairy enough to benefit from this tip.

I use other Bearback products, and this shaver just makes perfect sense - the shape of the handle is perfect for the job. I love that I can also fold the handle and easily shave my stomach.
